Sr Manager, Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Investigations Sr. Manager will manage various AML processes, which might include suspicious activity investigations, currency transaction reporting, global sanctions screening, enhanced due diligence or other AML processes. The Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to department Policies and Standards, advising investigators, managing workflow, delivering a high quality work product and general people management for the location. The associate may also lead projects or process improvement teams and have significant interactions with Legal, Compliance, Business Areas, and other Investigation teams within Capital One.

Responsibilities:

-Lead daily investigation workflow, controls and results metrics for the team

-Set clear goals/objectives and motivate teams to achieve superior results

-Assess internal trends, external regulatory & law enforcement environment to make recommendations, understand risk areas and alter or add to current processes

-Participate in regulatory exams and internal audits focused on the AML operational process. Respond to and coordinate with Law Enforcement contacts

-Oversee complex financial investigations, sanctions reviews, or other AML Processes

-Manage a team of analysts who will perform a centralized review function to capture, document and assess an individual customer's Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/AML risks.

-Manage the rollout of BSA-AML risk management tools and methodologies across the Bank. Responsible for developing the overall program plan, overseeing the execution of the plan and providing regular status reporting to executives with AML-BSA accountabilities

-Work in conjunction with other functional areas of the Bank to ensure the enterprise level BSA-AML objectives are being met

Basic Qualifications:

-High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

-At least 5 years of people management experience

-At least 5 years of investigative experience or at least 5 years of AML experience

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree

-8 years of people management experience

-8 years of investigative experience or 5 years AML experience

-ACAMS certification, or CFE, or CRCM certification
