Position Overview: The Sanitation Maintenance Technician performs sanitation tasks in the distribution warehouse. They will also assist with occasional equipment preventative maintenance. This role is also responsible for the cleaning.

DOING - What you deliver | Core Responsibilities

• Perform facility sanitation as required by Master Sanitation Schedule and on-demand tasks.
• Perform facility self-assessments and safety inspections.
• Complete monthly food safety inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and environment in compliance with AIB and other certification standards.
• Perform cleaning procedures as written in SSOP.
• Maintain timely and accurate sanitation completion records.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and initiatives.
• Provide support for order processing activities when necessary.
• Understand and comply with all Food Safety and related programs, such asbut not limited to GMP's, SSOPs, and Adverse Health Policy.
• Perform light preventive maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of break room equipment.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts while standing, lifting, bending, and reaching.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred:

• Experience working in a food manufacturing facility.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work "on your feet".
• Must be able to endure constant leaning and bending during shift.

Environmental Exposures:

• Airborne particles, Fumes, Moving parts, Muscular strain, Noise, Odors, High temperatures, Regular exposure to water and cleaning agents. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as needed.
