Responsibilities:

  • Assemble discrete conveyor equipment by following DWF and assembly procedures.
  • Responsible for final system assembly and testing of systems.
  • Knowledgeable with hand/power tools, as well as, shears, brakes, saws, milling machines and other fabrication equipment.
  • Apply established standards, processes, and procedures to ensure workplace safety and quality.
  • Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
  • Capable of reading pneumatic schematics and running airlines.
  • Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
  • Follow the attendance policy of the Department.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, and perform housekeeping duties as required.
  • Able to work overtime, flexible schedules, holidays, and weekends as required.

Position Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical procedures and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledgeable with use of hand/power tools.
  • Must have basic math and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and desire to learn.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-managed, team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to commit to dynamic schedules and be punctual to work.
  • Able to safely work for extended periods of time, mostly standing, beyond an 8-hour workday.
  • Ability to lift materials in excess of up to 48 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a Lean environment.
  • At least one (1) year of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Familiarity with all forms of conveyor line applications.
